Pain Hormone Study

In this study, we are examining the relationship between pain sensitivity and endocannabinoids. For this study you will complete sensory testing and an MRI scan (approximately 4 hours, $125 compensation). This study involves three blood draws. We are looking for healthy participants between the ages of 21 to 45.

Pain Cognition Study

We are examining how being in pain affects brain functioning during a cognitive task. This study consists of 2 sessions at the University of Toronto St. George campus: a training session (1.5 hours), and an experimental session (2.5 hours). You can be compensated up to $100 in total.

TMD Study

In this study, we are examining the differences in people with TMD pain, compared to people without TMD pain. This study consists of 1 session  held at the University of Toronto (approximately 3 hours) followed by 1 session whereby you'll receive an MRI scan (approximately 1 hour). You can be compensated $170 for this study.

Screen Time Study

In this study, we are examining whether there is an association between screen time and oral behaviours, such as jaw clenching, in adults 18-45 years of age. The study includes two parts, an online 10-minute survey, and a 100-minute session at our research lab. Participants will be compensated up to $30 for their participation.

Thermal Perception Study

In this study we are examining your perception to different temperatures. For this study you would come in for a singular study session that would last approximately an hour and be compensated $25.

rPMS Study

We are currently recruiting participants for a study that is investigating whether magnetic stimulation on the arm can affect how you feel pain. For this study, you would come in for 2 sessions (approximately an hour each) and be compensated up to $95 for the completion of both sessions.
